Christine McCall
Photo Design and Botanical Art
Christine McCallChristine McCall was born in Ohio and moved to Livermore in 2005. She started her art career with intricate botanical drawings, and learned her techniques from Catherine Watters, the primary instructor and curriculum developer for the Filoli Botanical Art Certificate Program. Christine loves to draw the local trees and wildflowers that she finds while walking her dog through the trails and vineyards of Livermore. Each drawing takes about 30 hours to complete, because they are done with a magnifying glass.

Christine has many artistic interests, including jewelry-making and photography. Her latest project is Livermore Kaleidoscopes, a celebration of Livermore history and landmarks. She takes pictures of iconic sights downtown, and historic buildings, and constructs them into beautiful kaleidoscope pictures.

Christine is also a software engineer, focusing on web development. She works primarily with artists so she can blend her love of art with technology. She helps artists get their websites online, and teaches them how to update web pages and create e-fliers to promote themselves. A member of Livermore Art Association, she redesigned the club's website and acted as webmaster for a year. She has created web pages for many artists, and is also Publicity Chair for the organization. Christine also designs advertisements for LAA which are printed in local magazines and newspapers.
